HOT CELL COMPACT
 
 
 
The use of aggressive and dangerous acids is a common and potentially hazardous activity in almost all analytical laboratories and therefore the need to have sufficient health, safety and environmental precautions in place are essential.

Nucomat are proud to present the ‘Hotcell Compact’; a robust and reliable robot system, embedded into a completely closed fume extraction cabinet necessary to minimize the amount of contact between dangerous materials and laboratory personnel.

A typical configuration for a HOTCELL COMPACT system:

HOTCELL CABINET
  • Compact work bench platform, mounted in a closed cabinet, assembled in chemical resistant PVC of 10mm thickness.
  • Dimensions of the robot platform L x D – 980 x 452mm.
  • Dimensions of the cabinet L x D x H – 1180 x 720 x 870mm.
  • Air/fume Extraction by a monitored laminar air flow system.

  • DISPENSING MODULE
  • Up to 2 positions, gravimetric control by a load cell.
  • Each position can use 4 different liquids to dispense.
  • For each liquid, a container will be foreseen in the cabinet.
  • Dispensing by dedicated peristaltic pumps or piston pumps.

  • HEATING BLOCK
  • For 250 ml flasks; goes up to 16 individual heating up and cooling down positions, heating in an embedded hot-block, temperature controlled by sensors, can go up to 250°C.

  • ROBOT HARDWARE
  • Cartesian X-Y-Z programmable robust arm, special designed grippers for resisting aggressive acidified environment, average 250 movements/hr.

  • TITRATOR MODULE
  • Up to 2 positions, with each a programmable burette and/or gravimetric control, an integrated stirrer, draining and rinsing position capabilities.
  • PH/ mV measurements for different applications.

  • SOFTWARE ROBIN
  • Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) event driven system.
  • Controls everything in a dynamic model.
  • Very user friendly, LIMS connectivity, SQL server data base.
